Everyone knows that there’s many thing that we can get from Rapidshare. It is a huge place that contains everything you want to download from e-books, software, movies, games and many more. It is much more better for you to have your own Premium Rapidshare accounts. The price you pay is worth with what you get overall. So, today I want to share with you tutorial on How to use Use OrbitDownlaoder for high speed Premium Rapidshare download.
Orbit Downloader is a really great downloader software that work the same just like FlashGet and also Internet Download Manager. There’s no doubt that using Premium Rapidshare account you can get a really fast downloading speed. But, to achieve the maximum download speed you still need a downloader software for it. Using downloader software also enable you to download multiple files together using your Premium Rapidshare account. Just follow this simple tutorial to use OrbitDownloader software together with Rapidshare Premium account.
1. Get yourself a Rapidshare Premium Account
This is a must. With Rapidshare Premium Account you can bypass the download limit. You can get it from the authorized Rapidshare Resellers or just get it from the other guys in Ebay or in any forum board. But I strictly recommend you to buy it directly from Rapidshare or their Authorized Rapidshare Resellers.
2. Download and Install OrbitDownloader software
Go to OrbitDownloader official website to download this software. This software is clean, so you don’t have to worry about getting viruses or spyware infecting your system. Download and install it to your computer or pendrive. It can be compressed to your flashdrive since the software size is small.
3. Install Flashgot add-on to your Firefox
First, you need to have Firefox browser. Download and install it if you don’t have any. After that, install this add-on called Flashgot. Here the step you need to follow in order to installed it:
a) Open up your Firefox browser. Go to this FlashGot add-on website. Installed this Add-on by clicking on that green “Add to Firefox” button.
b) After that, click install now. And then, restart your Firefox browser. And then in your Firefox, click on Tools > Add-ons. And then, search for FlashGot add-ons and click on the options button. And then, choose Orbit in the download manager option. After that, click adds and press OK.After that, close back your firefox browser and open it back again.
4) Change the settings in your Rapidshare Premium account.
Go to Rapidshare.com and click on the Rapidshare Premium Zone. Login to your Rapidshare premium account. After that, click on the settings link. On the configuration option, make sure that you have tick for the “Direct downloads, requested files are saved without redirection via RapidShare” option. And then, save your settings.
5) Configure your OrbitDownlaoder with Rapidshare Premium
Open up the OrbitDownlaoder software. And then, click Tools > Preferences. After that, select the Site Manager in the list.
And then, click on New to setup OrbitDownloader with your premium Rapidshare account. Enter the following into the form field:
- Site Path : http://*.rapidshare.*
- Username: Your Premium Rapidshare username
- Password: Duh, of course your password
Finally, click OK. Your’e done and it’s time to downlaod.
6) Simple trick to download with OrbitDownlaoder
If you were one of the Warez Forum site, you might found that many of them cloak the Rapidshare download link using the [code] [/code] tag. You need to copy and paste it back to your browser right? Wasn’t it wasting your precious time right?
But, with FlashGot add-ons you can download directly just by highlighting the link and then right click on it. After that, select FlashGot Option and click on the orbit. A new window will pop-up aking you where to save the file. And then, OrbitDownloader will do it all for you.
It is really fun to have your own Premium Rapidshare account. Someone on the forum also told me that you cannot complete yourself as a true web surfer without having Rapidshare Premium account. Haha

Yeah, that’s one of the reason why I choose to use OD with Flashgot.
It also work with other download manager.
But never try it. :)

I tried it but doesn’t work. When i add a RS link to Orbit downloader, it shows the file size as only 12kb, which is wrong, it just downloads the link/address to the file, but not the actual file itself.
I have made sure i ticked direct download in my Rapidshare account settings, as shown in the guide. I have made sure my download quota isn’t used up for the day and also i still have plenty of traffic share volume left……but it just doesn’t work…..
however, it works when i use Flashget, i can download files from rapidshare fine. Just not with Orbit…..
