I know this might be sound lame. Everyone does know CO.CC domain right? Well, let me help you to refresh back. CO.CC is a domain name company that offered you free domain name which include DNS server and many more. Well, this service is pretty awesome. Atleast for anyone that is not ready yet to pay for domain name or just for someone that like freebies like me.

So, today i want to make a tutorial on how to register a CO.CC domain name. Many and many people failed in this staged. A lot of them registered an account at CO.CC but didn’t make full used of it. So, if you still stuck just follow this tutorial. I’ll teach you how to register and setup this free domain name.

First of all, go to CO.CC. Register under me → http://www.co.cc/?id=142775 so i also can help you in tracking your domain name. Just click on the link and you will be forwarded to CO.CC homepage. Click on create an account now. You may skip this step if you already have one. Then, fill up all your details with email, password and all that.

Now, go back to CO.CC and did you see the check availibility box? Enter your own preferred domain name. You also can included ‘-’ symbol in your domain name. And yes, you might need to retry for several time to get the available domain name.

Then, if you have found any available free domain name, click on continue registration. Fill in all the details that is needed and continue sign in to your account.

Now, here is the part where almost people failed to do. After you have activate your free domain name, you need to setup it in 48hours or else you domain name will be deactivated back. So, you need to be quick.

Now, you are in the domain name setup page. There is 3 option to be choose.

1. Manage DNS (Can be hard for newbies)
2. Zone Records (Also hard a hard task for newbies)
3. URL Forwading (the simple thing that almost everyone can do)

Well, for this time i really suggest you to use the third option first. Let you domain name being activate first then we can switch to whether the first or second option. I will make a tutorial for that. So, let say we choose the URL Forwading for now. Click on it.

Fill up all the things. First, put your real URL of your website or blog. You also can add this to your Friendster Profile URL or your Myspace URL. Enter the title of your web and choose which frame do you prefer. I highly recommend you to choose URL Hiding to make it look more professional. Then, enter the Meta Description and META tag. Just fill up anything in it. It doesn’t matter. If you want to make an email account using your free domain, you can choose the Google Apps Email Setup. Just leave that untick if you don’t know how. After everything done, click on SET UP.

And now your done! You now can register for another domain name. Each account only can register maximum 2 free domain name. So, consider to donate to them so you register 100 more free domain name. Register now free domain name!

Thumlog! is my new blogging arena. I am officially owned my own domain. Well, you can take a look of it at Thumlog.com. I have officially activated this domain in 08 08 08. Yeah, that was the date of Beijing Olympic Games 2008. I bought the domain and hosting at Fivio.com.  It really worth. Check them out. Whats up with the idea of Thumlog dot com? Im gonna work for this new website for this few weeks or months. Yea, i need to focus built on it first. After everything settled back, here i am again. I think i’ll just post about Friendster Tutorial in this blog and the other techies stuff will be at my new blog, Thumlog!. Well, there it goes all the techies stuff and hot stuff. But you still can get in touch in this blog. Well, i wont waste this PAGERANK 3 blog. Because of this blog, all my other blog has gain PR 1 each of them.

I use the same theme for my Thumlog since this theme has really great performance. Plus, my adsense earning also boost up since I use this theme. Self-coded. That what make me really satisfied. I just make some minor change from this theme to adapted into Thumlog! At thumlog, i use the custom field function. Yeah, it look much more neat.

Have you ever setup a blog host by our lovely uncle google that is BLOGSPOT/BLOGGER? DO the URL is too long for for you? It is not cool right to have a veryverylongURLlikethis.blogspot.com for your blog right? Dont worry, here’s tutorial for you to shorten the URL using the free domain name services by CO.CC to your blogger account. Hey, this is not a URL forwading oke. It works the same like a dot com, dot net domain too.

1. Register an account at CO.CC. Then, log on to your account. After that, go to “Domain Setting“. Click the domain name that you have register before. Then, select the “Zone Record” option and fill the details just like the picture below. All you have to do is replace the www.psseudo.co.cc to your own CO.CC domain name. Remember! Dont forgot to type the WWW! Then click setup.

After that, login to your blogger account. Then select “Settings“.

After you have click setting, click at the “Publishing” tab. The all you have to do is select “Custom Domain” and click “Switch to advanced settings“. Fill the form with your domain along with the WWW infront it. Then click “save setting“.

Process of setting a domain name may take up to 48 hours/ 2days. But sometimes, it taking less than that. All you have to do is just wait until the domain is fully set to your blogspot blog account.

There’s many reason why my fellow blogspot/blogger friends need to use this trick.

1. Make your site look professional
2. Easy for visitor to remeber you blog name. Hello, instead of putting thisismybloganduthereader.blogspot.com, why not into myhotblog.co.cc right?
3. Giving your website a self identity.
4. Perhaps, this may increase your traffic too.

Oke. Wait!! again, register to CO.CC ! You may not only use CO.CC for blogspot only, but others work too because they offered URL forwading and DNS setup too. Why not make your own wordpress blog or a forum using it right? Register now!

First, register for a free webhosting at here. Well, this is a free webhosts with 200mb space and 10gb bandwith with cpanel and no ADS at all!! well, that really worth right? just like the paid hosting. But the only weakness of this webhosting is the server is always busy so it also take time for u to upload your file via FTP. And, you also need to have a visitor on your web or else it will be deleted. But the have a function to protect your hosting from being deleted. Cool right? So, whatchu waiting for? Register by clicking [HERE].

Having a hosting is just not enough for us to set a web/blog right? we need a DOMAIN NAME too!So, where i can get a FREE domain name uhh? Well, why not using CO.CC free domain? It is totally FREE. no need to pay anything, no Ads, no banner and other annoying things for your website. Plus, you can use the domain name just like how you can use a PAID Domain name like .com, .net, .tv, .fm and etc. All you need to do, when registered at that FREE WEBHOST, select using my own domain. Then register at domain name for free at CO.CC. After that, fill the domain server name at that you get at thet free webhost to the form that you get at CO.CC. Wait until it be approved. That your domain name and web hosts will work less than 72 hours !!

Then you can upload anything that you want to the public_html folder via your FTP. You can set it to a webportal, a blog or just a normal website. You can use this to make your own WORDPRESS BLOG too !! just to do the above and install a wordpress blog in it. Or you can use it for blogspot too.
