Great advice – was trying to find a solution for this all day through plug-ins and all sorts. I often try not to edit code b/c I am not a programmer but your advice was so simple I was confident to do it.

Great fix for us newbies. One issue is after making the fix the single page view left column having the post displays one line lower than it did on the index page :-( not fatal but if there is a way to fix it that would be great.
