    Hey there.

I am trying to do everything you suggested, but the bulk of text doesnt seem to be in the source code…. It has the first line (up to the dimensions for the player basically) but then it doesnt have anything like what you have found in your example…

I tried to change the friend id tags, but that just supplied a blank music player.

    Hope you can help.

I don’t think this particular hack works anymore. They’ve stuck the bulk of the mp3 player code elsewhere in the source. I’m not much of a techie, so I don’t know how to do it. I just know something’s not there when I’m looking for it ;)

    first off, i LOVE ismfof.
im meeting them in SD february 19th.

second, i couldnt find the embeded code for my boyfriend’s band Bright Lights and Busy Signals.
    and when i searched “profile_mp3Player”
only this little short code came up.
so i clicked the next button and it still wasnt the embeded code.
im really trying to promote their band so id like to know this trick.
    :)
    thanks

This hack USED to work. It doesn’t anymore.
I have my profile’s old code, and it plays my OLD songs that I have already deleted.

They moved around how the music profiles work I guess.
    I’m saddened by this.
    haha

so i was able to add the player, but the first song automatically starts playing as it does on the bands myspace page. is it possible to add some code so this doesnt happen… basically i want people accessing me site to have click play before the song starts up. if u have any ideas that would rock!
and by the way thanx for the tutorial!

Ummmmm….. yeah dude – it works fine for me – don’t know what y’all are trippin on – but it’s simple. Just do what the post says. Copy the code between the tags – transplant it into your website or forum post or MySpace comment or put it in your pipe and smoke it ;) I found this to be well written and easy to follow. Thanks!

This is working at the time of this post.

    Demo = YaY!

the recorder has been updated since this posting. i can tell how the scripts are arranged. in fact, i would assume that myspace intentionally changed the configuration so their player could not be embedded on competition websites. the code is there, but i can only pull fragments up. because the encoding has changed. please update this site. if i figure it out before u i will put up a blog to help the people.
